Figurative musical language, appeal and feminine charm are qualities that could be invoked speaking of the programme showcasing the magical voice of the great Latvian opera star Elīna Garanča: it will be the singer’s only appearance in Latvia this season. Tempestuous spirit and passion fill the symphonic scores featured in the concert. Richard Strauss’ Don Juan tone poem programmatically is based on a poem by Nikolaus Lenau, which contains the following lines: “Oh lovely world of female beauty!
