Join LNSO for a reunion with the Latvian pianist Lauma Skride and Maestro of the 20th-century music Zsolt Nagy who will be your guides on a trip through the exciting world of two great musical instigators of the early 20th century, Prokofiev and Stravinsky. A hundred years ago, the aggressive, intense music written by these two composers caused unprecedented stir in the musical circles of the time; with the passage of time, however, it has come to be viewed as an integral part of the 20th-century classical musical legacy. A contrast is provided by the colours of some music by Agris Engelmanis.
