Christian-Pierre La Marca is one of the most outstanding French cellists of his generation and is quickly establishing an international reputation. He has won recognition with Itzhak Perlman, Seiji Ozawa and Steven Isserlis. Originally from Aix-en-Provence, Christian-Pierre La Marca studied in Paris and Cologne, as well as took master classes with many great cellists.

Christian-Pierre has received many grants and prizes. He won the Top Cello Prize Firmenich from the Verbier Festival and became the Laureate of the European Radios Competition a.o. Christian-Pierre is performing in many major venues in Europe, as well as in the Middle East, United States and Asia. He also performs frequently in major festivals including Verbier, Ravinia, Prussia Cove, Santander, Saint-Denis, Pablo Casals, Aix-en-Provence, La Roque d’Anthéron, Montpellier, Menton, Wallonie etc. His partners include Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Paul Neubauer, Maxim Rysanov, Dmitri Sitkovetsky, Julian Bliss, Simon Trpceski, Augustin Dumay, and Itzhak Perlman.

Christian-Pierre made his debut with orchestra at a very young age and since then played with many formations. This season includes performances with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London, London Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, Slovak Philharmonic, and Slovenian Philharmonic.

With a keen interest in chamber music, he along with Vineta Sareika and Amandine Savary formed the Dali Piano Trio in residency at the Queen Elisabeth College of Music in Brussels.
