Tchaikovsky’s majestic stature and emotional ambit will be revealed in the concert with symphonic boldness. In his Piano Concerto no. 1, whose opening is an iconic example of romantic music, the solo will be performed by Lukas Geniušas, one of the most renowned pianists of his generation who enriches many prestigious festivals and concert halls with his presence. The Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, evidently inspired by Shakespeare’s timeless play, unveils a truly romantic perception and musical representation of the world, although initially the piece was not well received and even jeered at. Nowadays, however, the expressive theme of love can be heard in countless films, TV series, ballets, pop music arrangements, and even video games.
Due to the current epidemiological situation, tickets can be booked in advance by contacting the ticket office of the Great Guild or Latgale Embassy GORS and indicating your name, surname, phone number and/or e-mail address, the chosen concert or set of concerts, and the preferred price range. Purchase of tickets will be made available as soon as authorisation is given to hold on-site events in summer.
