When children spend extended periods in the hospital, they have limited opportunities to practice, socialize, and stay engaged — and this time can be emotionally challenging. Research shows that music lessons provide children with numerous benefits, improving various cognitive, social, and emotional skills, reducing anxiety, and lifting their mood.

For this reason, LNSO musicians conduct music‑making sessions several times a week for children undergoing long‑term treatment in the hospital. Our goal is to support the healing process through musical instrument play and to inspire curiosity and creativity in the children.
