Latvian National Symphony Orchestra announces an open competition for a group oboe musician with an additional instrument, English horn – full-time position for 1 year with the possibility of extending the contract.
The competition will take place at the Riga Congress Hall (5 Krisjana Valdemara Street, Riga) on 15 May 2026 at 11:00 – draw, 1st and 2nd rounds.
Requirements for candidates: excellent command of the oboe and English horn, ability to perform oboe and English horn parts at a high artistic level; experience working in an orchestra.
Applications must be submitted by 7 May 2026, sent to the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra email address [email protected] with the subject line “For the competition”, including: 1. CV; 2. a motivation letter; 3. copies of documents confirming education; 4. a personal data processing consent form.
Applications received after 23:59 on 7 May 2026 will not be considered.

Monthly full-time gross salary before taxes: EUR 1528.
