One day the little tortoise Diegabiksis set off into the world to seek his fortune and to see wonders. Will Diegabiksis find what he is looking for? How will he fare visiting the depths of the river, or travelling up to the Cloud? What did the Stone do, and what did the Mountain say?
The music for the journey of Diegabiksis described by Žanis Grīva has been written by the composer Rihards Zaļupe, and listeners will have the chance to hear, together with Diegabiksis, how the frog choir sings, how the angry Lion King roars and how the beautiful Wonder Bird flies.
During the journey the audience will need not only to watch closely and share the feelings of the brave little tortoise, but also to support Diegabiksis and the musicians of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra by making all sorts of sounds themselves with everyday household objects, which in the presence of Diegabiksis suddenly turn into musical instruments.
