An evening to unburden the mind and unwind. In the first half – Raimonds Tiguls with “Labyrinth”, a new work written specially for the festival and inspired by the idea of the labyrinth as something that cleanses the mind and brings enlightenment. The performance features the LNSO string quartet and other musicians, as well as a solo soprano and the composer himself with his magical hang.
In the second half – singer Daumants Kalniņš and guitarist Kaspars Zemītis with a hushed programme centred on ballads from many nations and many eras.
