The musicians say that the works in the programme form an arch from the Baroque era to the present day. At the start of the concert – by now traditionally – Bach, specifically his Chaconne, which, like Monteverdi’s beautiful duet from the opera “The Coronation of Poppea”, has been arranged for four cellos. In the second half the Dream Team turns to jazz and takes up the Swede Sundin’s tribute to the LNSO cellos. This time the Dream Team’s forces are swelled by the ensemble’s regular collaborator Uģis Krūskops, and by the tireless arranger and Kremerata Baltica percussionist Andrejs Puškarevs.
