In Bach’s sonata LNSO’s first violin Georgs Sarkisjans meets brilliant harpsichordist Ieva Saliete, in Bach’s concerto the soloists are LNSO’s principal oboist Egils Upatnieks and the wonderful Darja Smirnova; Bach’s violin music is arranged for guitar by the thoughtful and unpredictable Matīss Čudars, while from Mozart we hear a sparkling entertainment serenade and an elegant harpsichord concerto composed at the age of 16.
An hour before the concert, everyone is warmly welcome to a meeting with harpsichordist Ieva Saliete and LNSO’s chief editor Orests Silabriedis “Pre-concert Talk” on the topic “Mozart’s Miraculous Childhood”.
