BEETHOVEN, GEORGS SARKISJANS AND KEIGO MUKAVA
Thursday
19:00
Venue Lielā ģilde, Amatu iela, Central District, Riga, Latvia

LNSO’s first violin Georgs Sarkisjans and Japanese pianist Keigo Mukava are a duo beloved by Latvian audiences – professionally in tune with each other, full of passion and the unexpected. In Cēsis and Riga they have performed seven of Beethoven’s ten violin sonatas, and now three remain: the youthfully enthusiastic First, the youthfully dramatic Seventh, and the Tenth, written by a mature man dreaming in the light of love. The two musicians’ idea remains unchanged – it is a wish to remind listeners of chamber music-making in its pure form, without video and without words.

Programme:

Ludwig van BEETHOVEN Sonata No. 1, No. 7, No. 10 for violin and piano
