The concert programme is a tribute to the artist Chick Corea, who passed away last year. His diverse and extraordinary contribution brought new influences to both academic and jazz music, with many of Corea’s works now recognised as jazz standards.
Meanwhile, the artist himself was profoundly influenced by academic composers, from Domenico Scarlatti and Johann Sebastian Bach to Béla Bartók.
