On 12 December, the concert programme explores the night’s magical atmosphere in Robert Schumann’s vocal-symphonic canvas; Beethoven is represented by his radiant early works – the Second Symphony and the seldom-performed Second Piano Concerto, interpreted by pianist Reinis Zariņš; and in conclusion – Ruta Paidere’s score, reflecting on the symbolic meaning of wind in the traditions of different peoples.
