This is the second year that the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO) and popular Latvian performers have taken part in the charity concert “Es nākšu, lai Tu dzīvotu” (I Will Come So That You Can Live). The aim of the charity concert is to help raise funds for medication for melanoma patients, among them the patient Sondra Zaļupe. Unfortunately, melanoma medication is not publicly funded in Latvia, and the concert seeks to bring public attention to the dramatically low funding for melanoma treatment. Singer Linda Leen, vocal group Latvian Voices, pianist Andrejs Osokins, saxophonist Kārlis Vanags, percussion ensemble Perpetuum Ritmico, dancer Alise Putniņa, the LNSO percussion ensemble, LNSO musicians, and musicians of the Latvian Radio Big Band will take part in the concert.
