Pauls’s talent will be on display in his miniature from the series Naktstauriņi (The Moths), theatre music, and score from the film Homo novus. Pauls is also a long‑time friend of his like-minded colleague, heartfelt Georgian composer Kancheli, whose best film scores are arranged in a dazzling suite. The magnificence and scope of the organ will appear in Barber’s Toccata festiva, where lightning speed contrasts with melodic episodes, brilliant fanfares – with pensive retreats.
