In this concert programme, LeNeSOn and his young audience will explore the cycles Carnaval and Scenes from Childhood by the German composer Robert Schumann, originally written for piano, but this time performed with the instrumental lushness of an orchestra. Through the imagery of music, we will meet the unusual participants of the carnival: the comic Harlequin and Pierrot, the lyrical Eusebius and the rebellious Florestan, the cunning Pantaloon and Columbine. Scenes with carnival characters will alternate with musical landscapes, the best known of which is the subtle Dreaming arranged for the French horn and orchestra.
