Claude Debussy is one of the greatest figures of the 20th century, and his music is as delicately evocative as an Impressionist painting. LeNeSOns and the orchestra will conjure up a serenade and the dance of a doll, there will be a lullaby for a little elephant, and together with the little shepherd we will dance in the snow until the crystal-clear “Clair de lune” rings out.
This time LNSO musicians will play alongside pupils of the Emīls Dārziņš Music School – experienced musicians and musicians-to-be, masters and apprentices, meeting on one stage.
The concert performances with LeNeSOns give children aged 5 to 10 the chance to discover symphonic music and enjoy a theatrical show. During the intervals children can take part in creative workshops where they can express themselves artistically and get a close-up look at musical instruments. This time the children will get to know the clarinet.
Children up to the age of five who do not occupy a separate seat require a special ticket costing €1.50.
