The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and the Latvian Radio Big BandOrigo Summer Stage will join forces in colourful, intense symphonic jazz. The meeting of the two orchestras is a double creative force, led by LNSO conductor Guntis Kuzma in close collaboration with the big band’s artistic director Kārlis Vanags.
The concert will feature two special guests. The brilliant singer and songwriter Linda Leen possesses a vivid voice and a powerful personality. Every step she takes on stage and every melody she sings is the fruit of purposeful, careful work – the charismatic Linda blazes darkly, captivatingly and powerfully. The second guest will be the outstanding Gints Pabērzs, whose saxophone playing is unmistakable from the very first note and whose supple virtuosity fascinates and delights.
The concert will serve as a warm-up for the LNSO festival for family and friends “LNSO Summer House”, which will take place from 23 to 25 August at the Latgale Embassy GORS.
