Not long ago, actress Karīna Tatarinova invited seven Latvian composers each to write a musical tale based on motifs from popular fairy tales. The composers obliged, and so several chamber works were born, narrated by actors and played by musicians. This was followed by the educational and entertaining album “Little Musical Fairy Tales,” and now some of these chamber tales want to take on the colours of a symphony orchestra. There will be raccoons and piglets, there will be Cinderella and other creatures. LeNeSOn, where is your conductor’s baton?
