Katrīna Paula Felsberga

Katrīna Paula Felsberga is a Latvian soprano who has rapidly gained international recognition for her performances in opera, chamber music, and contemporary repertoire.

She is the recipient of the 2023 Grand Latvian Music Award in the Young Artist of the Year category and a prizewinner of several international competitions, including First Prize at the Franz Schubert and Modern Music Competition in Graz and the Jāzeps Vītols International Vocal Competition in 2025.
Felsberga performs regularly with the Latvian National Opera and Ballet and has appeared at some of Europe’s leading concert halls and festivals, including Pierre Boulez Saal, Konzerthaus Berlin, Heidelberger Frühling, Kissinger Sommer, and the Verbier Festival. Her repertoire encompasses opera, art song, and contemporary music, and she has collaborated with distinguished pianists including Malcolm Martineau, Julius Drake, Graham Johnson, and Agnese Egliņa.
She graduated from the Riga Dome Choir School and the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin). Her artistic development has been shaped through participation in the Verbier Festival Atelier Lyrique, the Heidelberger Frühling Lied Academy, and LiedBasel. An active advocate of contemporary music, she has premiered more than thirty new works by European composers.
