Kristīne Blaumane is one of the most distinguished Latvian cellists, performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and member of top‑level orchestras.
She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Latvia, as well as with the Basel Chamber Orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, and others.
At the age of 22, she became the principal cellist of the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, where she worked until 2010. Since 2007, she has been the principal cellist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2005 and 2007, Kristīne Blaumane received the Latvian Grand Music Award.
Together with violinist Roman Mints and violist Maxim Rysanov, Kristīne Blaumane founded the trio ASCH, which performs extensively in the United Kingdom and across Europe. The trio has also appeared at London’s renowned Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room.
With Latvian musicians — violinist Eva Bindere and pianist Reinis Zariņš — she performs as part of Trio Palladio.
