Liene KINČA

Liene Kinča is a Latvian dramatic soprano internationally acclaimed for her interpretations of the great Verdi, Puccini, and Wagner heroines.

A graduate of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, she has appeared at leading opera houses including Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Theater an der Wien, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Leipzig Opera, the New National Theatre Tokyo, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, and the Slovak National Theatre. She is a two-time recipient of the Latvijas Gāze Opera Award for Best Soloist.
Her repertoire includes acclaimed performances as Aida, Tosca, Abigaille, Isolde, Elisabeth (Tannhäuser), Sieglinde, Senta, Turandot, and Liza (The Queen of Spades), establishing her as one of today’s leading Wagnerian and dramatic sopranos. Recent highlights include performances of Isolde at the New National Theatre Tokyo, a return to the Grand Théâtre de Genève, appearances as Turandot at Staatsoper Hannover, and concerts with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, continuing her distinguished international career.
