A graduate of the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, he furthered his vocal studies in Italy and has established himself as a regular guest at many of the world’s foremost opera houses, including Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Paris Opera, the Bavarian State Opera, and the Dutch National Opera.
Černoch has collaborated with many of the world’s leading conductors, among them Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, Kirill Petrenko, Andris Nelsons, Jakub Hrůša, and Semyon Bychkov. Alongside his operatic career, he is a sought-after concert artist, appearing with major orchestras and at prestigious festivals throughout Europe.
Among his recent achievements are the release of his acclaimed solo album Smetana Arias with Supraphon, which was shortlisted for the Anděl Awards 2025, and appearances in major gala concerts and productions across Europe. He continues to be recognised as one of the foremost lyric-dramatic tenors of his generation.
