Spanish conductor Roberto Forés Veses is Artistic Director of the Orquesta de Extremadura and Principal Guest Conductor of the English Chamber Orchestra. An internationally acclaimed conductor, he is the winner of both the Evgeny Svetlanov Conducting Competition and the Luigi Mancinelli International Opera Conductors Competition. Previously, he served for a decade as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Orchestre National d’Auvergne, leading the orchestra’s artistic growth and international recognition. Roberto Forés Veses has conducted many of the world’s leading orchestras and opera houses, including the Bolshoi Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lyon, and Malaysian Philharmonic. Alongside his extensive concert career, he has made numerous acclaimed recordings for Warner Classics and other international labels.
