On Friday, 30 October, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO) will launch the new season of its concert series for young people and anyone interested in symphonic music, Symphonic Hit with Goran Gora, with two performances at the Riga Congress Hall at 12.00 and 19.00. The first concert of the season will explore the theme of provocation through both historical and contemporary music. Joining the symphony orchestra on stage will be several special guests: singer-songwriter Būū, rapper Edavārdi, and artist Kristians Brekte.
For years, Symphonic Hit with Goran Gora has brought together audiences aged 12 and above, as well as anyone wishing to take their first steps into the world of symphonic music. Alongside celebrated works of classical music performed by the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the concerts feature storytelling and discussion, animation, and a variety of artistic disciplines, creating a unique multimedia experience each time. Artists representing different musical genres, as well as experts and notable personalities from other fields, regularly take part in the series.
Symphonic Hit is created by an outstanding creative team comprising director Roberts Rubīns, playwright Jānis Joņevs, artist Krišs Salmanis, animator Pauls Poikāns, music content consultant Jānis Stafeckis, and narrator Jānis Holšteins-Upmanis, better known as Goran Gora.
During the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra’s 101st season, three Symphonic Hit with Goran Gora events will take place at the Riga Congress Hall. Tickets may be purchased individually or at a discounted rate as a subscription package. Subscriptions are available for both the 12.00 and 19.00 performances and may be purchased until the first concert of the series.
