On Saturday, 2 April, at 11:00 in a Russian-language performance and at 14:00 in a Latvian-language performance, the puppet LeNeSOns once again delighted young listeners together with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Andris Vecumnieks. This time, concert visitors could discover the many different and unusual ways music can depict the image of fire, listening to excerpts from Igor Stravinsky’s ballet “The Firebird” alongside new works by students of JVLMA’s Composition Department. During the breaks between parts of the concert, listeners had the chance to colour in a bright firebird and write a letter to a composer, seeking answers to questions they hadn’t yet had the chance to ask.
