On 12 May 2022, a press conference was held at the Great Guild, at which representatives of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra spoke about the upcoming closing concert of the 97th season the following day, as well as future plans. Together with the artistic director of the Ventspils Concert Hall “Latvija,” Mikk Magons, the outlines of the “Summer House 2022” festival were sketched out; meanwhile, the central piece of news was the introduction to the press of the orchestra’s new artistic director and chief conductor, Tarmo Peltokoski.
