For seekers of symphonic adventure, this concert offers thrilling scores by creative minds of modern times and the last century. We meet the young French composer Camille Pépin through the first instalment of her Climatic Trilogy. Flavours of American minimalism will be brought to audiences through Philip Glass’ Double Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra. From the 20th century, we hear Béla Bartók and the colourful suite from his once-scandalous pantomime ballet.
