He made his orchestral debut at the age of five and has since appeared as a soloist with Kremerata Baltica, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta Rīga, the Moscow Virtuosi, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, and numerous other ensembles across Europe, Asia, and South America.
Among his recent achievements are the Grand Latvian Music Award 2024 for the concert production of Astor Piazzolla’s Maria de Buenos Aires, the release of his debut album Daniil Bulayev: Enescu, Bloch, Ysaÿe, which was nominated for the Kilograms Kultūras Award, and his inclusion in Classic FM’s 30 Rising Stars 2025. In 2026, Bulayev was appointed Concertmaster of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, became an Artist in Residence at Latvian Radio 3 Klasika, and continues to perform extensively in Latvia and abroad with Davinspiro Camerata, including the ensemble’s debut at the Musikverein in Vienna.
