He has also performed as principal oboist with renowned orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. An award-winning musician, he won the prestigious Prague Spring International Competition and has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras across Europe. Alongside his performing career, Kuljus is an internationally sought-after teacher, giving masterclasses around the world and serving as a guest lecturer at several music academies. His acclaimed recordings include an ECHO Klassik Award-winning chamber music album, and he has been honoured with Estonia’s Order of the White Star for his outstanding contribution to music.
