His great-grandfather was the renowned Latvian composer Arvīds Žilinskis. Equally at home in classical and jazz music, he combines the traditions of classical performance with improvisation and a contemporary musical language.
Žilinskis graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and furthered his studies in the United States. Alongside his concert career, he is active as an educator, composer, and arranger. He has collaborated extensively with the Latvian Operetta Theatre as a musical director and arranger, performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician, and is the author of original works for various ensembles. His debut album, Childhood Memories, reflects his distinctive artistic voice and creative approach to composition and improvisation.
