Latvian National Symphony Orchestra announces an audition for the full-time employment as Co – Principal Bassoon (for one year with possibility for permanent position)

The audition 1^st round and 2^nd round will be held at Riga Congress Hall, Riga, Kr.Valdemara street 5. on 11 August 2026, at 11:00 (by draw).

Requirements for candidates:

• excellent Bassoon proficiency, ability to perform at the highest level;
• work experience in the orchestra
• ability to lead Bassoon group as Principal Bassoon;
• good communication skills;
• ability to prepare and play the Bassoon scores and Contrabassoon scores at the highest artistic level

In order to take part in the audition, each candidate must submit:

• curriculum vitae (CV),
• motivation letter,
• copies of documents supporting educational qualifications,
• confirmation of consent to the processing of personal data.

The deadline for submitting applications is 2 August 2026. Applications must be submitted by email to the email address of the LNSO: [email protected], with the reference “For the audition”.

Applications received after 23:59 on 2 August 2026 will not be considered.
