Remuneration
How remuneration is determined
In accordance with Section 2, Paragraph 41 of the Law on Remuneration of Officials and Employees of State and Local Government Authorities, the state limited liability company “Latvian National Symphony Orchestra” (LNSO) publishes the breakdown of employee remuneration by position and the criteria for determining remuneration.
LNSO employees are paid in accordance with the Law on Governance of Capital Shares of a Public Person and Capital Companies, the Labour Law, the LNSO collective agreement, and the LNSO procedure for determining employee remuneration and social guarantees.
For employees with open-ended employment contracts, the LNSO board, within the financial means of the LNSO, sets a monthly salary level for each position in the approved staff list, based on the following criteria:
- the employee’s professional qualifications and work experience;
- the content of the work and the responsibility involved;
- pay levels for comparable positions on the labour market;
- quality of work and results.
For LNSO employees on the minimum wage, pay is raised whenever the national minimum wage increases.
